Life has a way of gifting us lessons, just like the bangles on my wrist. These bangles tell a story of growth and challenges that came along. Some were gifted to me by wise leaders, others by experiences that shaped me into who I am today. Among them all, one stands out the most — my bangle of pride.
What Is a Bangle of Pride?
A bangle of pride is a life lesson or skill that fills you with a deep sense of accomplishment. It could be something you learned from a mentor, a personal breakthrough, or even a difficult experience that made you stronger.
The important thing is that this bangle is not like any other memory. Instead, it is a reminder of how far along you’ve progressed in your journey.
Finding this bangle isn’t something that can happen overnight. Sometimes, it takes years of trial and error, countless lessons, and a few setbacks before you identify the experience that truly shaped you.
Finding Your Bangle of Pride
Many of us move so quickly from one challenge to the next that we rarely stop to reflect on our personal growth. But if you wish to find that bangle of pride, it is important to slow down a little and ask yourself:
- What experience changed the way I see the world?
- Which lesson do I carry with me every day?
- Who has influenced me the most in my journey?
Sometimes, the experiences that seemed the hardest at the time turn out to be the ones that leave the deepest impact.
Learning from Leaders
Mentors and leaders play a significant role in shaping who we become. Their words, encouragement, and even tough love leave lasting impressions.
Some of my most meaningful bangles came from the people who saw potential in me when I didn’t see it in myself. They challenged me, guided me, and pushed me beyond my comfort zone.
Think about the people who have shaped your journey. What advice have they given you that still sticks? That wisdom might just be the bangle of pride you’ve been wearing all along without even realizing it.
Embracing All Your Bangles
Not every experience is perfect, and not every lesson comes in a pretty package. Some bangles may feel heavy; others might be rough around the edges. But each one is a part of your story.
Wearing them all together means you have truly adopted every success, every failure, and every moment of learning. Even the difficult ones hold value because they remind us of our growth and life lessons.
Looking back, I am lucky to have found my bangle of pride. It didn’t come from a single experience but rather from the collective wisdom of leaders who shaped me. Each jingle and jangle on my wrist tells a part of my story, and I wear them all with gratitude.
